We are hiring! Commercial Manager

THIS VACANCY IS NOW FILLED.

Thank you to everybody who applied for this role.

We are looking for a dynamic and goal-oriented Commercial Manager who will relish the challenge of a diverse and exciting role that covers an array of responsibilities across project management, client relationship management, and business development for our company.

Enkos Developments is a consultancy that designs bespoke skincare and haircare formulations for the beauty and personal care markets. We work closely with our clients to understand their specific requirements and help them to create products that stand out from the crowd. We provide guidance and support throughout the product development process. Our technical knowledge and creative thinking enable us to develop high quality formulations that are safe, stable, effective and that delight consumers. Our formulations have won over 50 awards and counting!

We are a hard working team that is very active within the beauty industry, and we constantly have lots of projects on the go at any one time. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Commercial Manager to join our wonderful team and help us to keep providing extremely high quality service and products to our clients.

This is a new role that offers an incredible opportunity to get involved with our company at all levels – from managing complex, detailed day-to-day project work; to building and maintaining long-lasting and collaborative relationships with our clients and suppliers; and planning long term company strategy. You will be able to help shape and further grow a young company that is already making a big impact on the cosmetics industry.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Acting as project manager for all development projects, and coordinating relevant parties throughout the process to deliver a successful result for both Enkos and our clients.

  • Collaborating closely with all team members to plan project work, set priorities and manage resourcing.

  • Supporting all clients throughout their development journey with Enkos.

  • Serving as the lead contact for our clients for any matters relating to account management.

  • Managing quotes and invoices for project work.

  • Building and maintaining long-lasting, collaborative relationships with our clients, suppliers and partners.

  • Responding to enquiries relating to both existing business and new opportunities.

  • Being a great ambassador for Enkos, proactively promoting our team and services, and following up on new leads and opportunities.

  • Working closely with our Innovation Manager on new business development, including helping to identify, develop and deliver new services and products to further support our clients and grow our business.

A more detailed list of job responsibilities is available to candidates upon request.

We are looking for a flexible, decisive and diligent person who:

  • Has great commercial awareness paired with an appreciation for technical details.

  • Has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is a strong team player who takes on responsibility, supports their colleagues and appreciates collaborating with them.

  • Is self-motivated and also good at motivating others to successfully deliver outstanding results, with both a short and long-term view.

  • Has a pro-active and positive mindset to problem solving and finding solutions.

  • Appreciates working in a fast-paced environment, and is able to plan work effectively to meet deadlines but also able to adapt quickly when priorities change.

  • Works well under pressure to accurately complete a wide variety of tasks across multiple projects everyday.

  • Has the experience and confidence to manage projects, prioritise and delegate tasks to team members.

  • Has the ability to learn and understand complex (often technical) information quickly.

  • Pays excellent attention to detail, approaches tasks in a methodical, thorough and organised manner, and completes work to a high standard.

A strong scientific education (e.g. degree in a scientific subject) is preferable but not mandatory. Candidates must:

  • Already have the right to work in the UK.

  • Be fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Have previous experience in technical account management and/or project management.

  • Have worked in an FMCG industry (ideally beauty and personal care) for 3+ years.

  • Have strong numerical literacy.

  • Be experienced with using computers and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Be happy to commute to our modern office and lab in Leatherhead at least 3 times per week.

If you are looking for a role that offers great scope for personal development, where you can quickly become an important member of our team and benefit from the exciting opportunities that Enkos can offer, then we want to hear from you!

Do you think you are the perfect person for this opportunity? Then please send your CV and a personalised cover letter (explaining who you are, why you are interested in the role, and what you think you can bring to Enkos) to recruitment@enkosdevelopments.com.

We know that applying for a new job can be pretty daunting, and job adverts often don’t give much away about the company itself or the culture of the team that you could be joining and spending a lot of your time with.
